Bardo – what might help us to die gracefully

We are all afraid of dying and we try to avoid looking at the fact that death is certain. Also in our society death is still quite a tabu theme – this is a pity because it doesn‘t allow us to prepare for dying.

Here, the Tibetans gave us the great gift of Bardo, techniques that were evolved to help a person in the process of dying. Osho says, that Bardo is the greatest contribution Tibet has made to the world.

With guided meditation and sharing we will bring more light into the theme of death, our fears around it and how we could also help friends and relatives in the process of dying.

If we can be relaxed and stay alert when we die, our death may become a liberation. Bardo is reminding us to be silent, to simply let go of everything, to remain conscious.

Wherever you feel death, feel it. Don’t escape. Death is beautiful; death is the greatest mystery, more mysterious than life. Through life you can gain the world, the futile world - meaningless, worthless. Through death you can gain the eternal. Death is the door.
