Somatic Balancing
The art of coming back to flow
This training consists of two parts: Beginning 7.3.2026
- 7.-12.3.2026 2. 17.-22.7.2026
This training is focussed on methods, techniques and exercises for re-balancing, for finding our balance, our flow again.
This training combines methods, techniques and exercises from various therapeutic approaches. Inspired by the Polyvagal work of Stephen Porges, the Generative Trance work by Stephen Gilligan, and the Hypnosystemic work by Gunther Schmidt this training teaches methods which help people and us, to come out from shock states, from overcharge and undercharge states. This includes emotional reactions, and especially chronic feelings like loneliness, unworthiness, chronic anger states, tensions and fears (like fear to be abandoned f.e.).
These techniques or methods are directed at what clients and we can do, to bring our body and our emotions in a state of flow. When we are in a flow state, we are relaxed and we have energy. Our intelligence works, our intuition works, we have energy to manifest our intentions, and we are connected with people.
When we learn to do this, we become the Masters of our lives, and we can be truly human, and live our potential. When we are in a flow state we are in touch with our three Minds:
The Verbal Mind: thinking clearly and using one´s intelligence
The Somatic Mind: feeling the body, the emotions, intuition
The Spatial Mind: connecting with people and the world around us
Being human is possible when we are at home and in contact with the three Minds.
Practically this includes exercises for the body, using movement, and touch.
It includes breathing and exercises around breathing.
It includes methods for our mental attitudes, thinking patterns, values, trances, Meditations
And it includes methods for our orientation in life, for the spiritual dimension, for having something to live for.
In the last few years we have seen threats coming up again, which we already thought belonged to the past. The war in Ukraine, Trumps havoc in international relationships. We felt secure, and suddenly realize this is no longer the case (if it ever was). So we feel fears coming up, worries. tensions which are weights on our lives.
It makes sense to go to therapy in acute situations, but it is not an intelligent longterm solution to always having to go to somebody else who helps us come back to a good state. Moreover, we really can do many things ourselves. We can do this for us, and we can teach our clients to do this for themselves.
We can learn to take responsibility for our wellbeing ourselves, and can show this to our clients. We will not be able to control the world and make the threats disappear, they are there and they will affect us, our feelings, our bodies and especially our autonomeous nervous systems. But we can take care for our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.
